We, as members of the Canadian Kennel Club, advise the Board of Directors of the CKC that we are presently dissatisfied with the direction that the magazine, Dogs in Canada, is taking. We feel that the magazine should reflect the Vision Statement of the Canadian Kennel Club, namely, ""The Canadian Kennel Club with its members will be a dynamic service organization, focused on being the authority for purebred dogs in Canada".
We do not feel that articles on mixed breed dogs have a place in Dogs in Canada.

The DIC does not represent the dog fancy as it was intended. It's not meant to be for pet stories but to promote purebred dogs and their activities. Perhaps pet people would see the benefit of good breeders with good ethics and the pitfalls of buying pet

I very much agree with not including non-purebed dogs, some of us have spent overr 30 years producing high quallity show and companion dogs with non doggie related health problems.

There are lots of on the "inclusion" of mixed breeds in DIC. What upsets me even more is the ADVERTISING it has allowed in DOGS ANNUAL - Since when does DIC allow advertising for "Shilo Shepherds" or "Ye Olde English Bull Dogge" as part of the contents??

The magazine was designed to promote purebred dogs in Canada, not mixes or even designer dogs. Without the promotion of purebred dogs, the CKC may not exist in the future!
