As fans of the Broadway musical "Draula, the Musical," its beautiful music, and talented performers, we find ourselves wondering why no recording is planned to be made.
We are petitionig because of our love for Frank Wildhorn's beautiful composing that transformed an amazing novel into an amazing show.
We understand that the creation of a CD has long been debated, having to do with issues from the economic feasibility of a recording to contractional disagreements. We feel that the cast all did an amazing job in the show and feel that their voices, along with the beautiful score and lyrics, be preserved through time on a Cast Recording.
We are very happy to have a few demo songs; however, we do not feel that they accurately demonstrate the beauty of the musical that recently closed on Broadway. Furthermore, the demos do not capture the great talent of the Original Broadway cast, including Tom Hewitt, Melissa Errico, Kelli O'Hara, Darren Ritchie, Don Stephenson, Chris Hoch, Bart Shatto, Shonn Wiley, Stephen McKinley Henderson, and the incredible ensemble.
We feel it would be a great travesty if these amazing performers were not allowed to record their voices for fans and theatergoers alike.
Please reconsider the recording of Dracula, the Musical.
