Educate our Ministers

Greetings,
In this great land of ours, India, education is of high priority. The top scorers in schools are the ones who get to train further as doctors, engineers, chartered accountants and other venered professions. Only the best and the brightest are carefully screened before being admitted to the elite institutions like the IITs and the IIMs. IAS and other civil services require you to be the best. But to what use? The politicians elected to the highest offices of our country need not be educated at all! It is your political clout and not your grasp of economy that elects you to the Financial seat of power. It does not matter whether you know the difference between broad gauage and narrow gauge. You can still be the railways minister. Is this not an insult to the graduates of IITs, IIMs and other elite insitutes that they have to serve and bow down to idiots who probably cannot even spell their name?
A doctor gets his M.B.B.S. certificate only after he has comlpeted his intership. No pilot would ever be let even near a jet without years of experience. And yet politicians who do not even know the basics of an engine are the ministers for railways!
Why should education be a criteria everywhere else but in politics where maybe the most educated people are required?
This petition is to make the government realise that we are concerned. We want more sincere, intelligent and articulate ministers. We need educated people. We require a minimum education requirement for our ministers too.
