Emporia Public Smoking Ban

It is my personal belief that the passing of the public smoking ban in Emporia Kansas should be reviewed and revoked. It puts an unnecessary burden on small business owners who much make renovations to accommodate to the new standards or risk losing their established customers to different businesses. It also puts unnecessary money and attention into our police and fire task forces who already have enough responsibilities. It is an unfair way to treat those who choose to smoke and is a decision that should ultimately be made by the owner of such establishments and not a law that is pushed upon them.
