Encourage Shaw Cable to agree carriage of Setanta Sports

No carriage agreement between the leading provider Setanta Sports and Shaw Cable has yet been announced. Time is of the essence and any delay in reaching agreement to the extent of 6-8 months as has been suggested in the media would result in the 2007/08 BPL season being significantly impacted for viewers in Western Canada.
We are concerned that BPL viewers in Western Canada are being treated as second class citizens as a result of the new rights arrangement between The Premier League, Score Television Network & Setanta Sports Group. Whilst Shaw has not contributed to the fiasco of the current situation thus far, we urge Shaw to take account of the thousands of BPL viewers in Western Canada and speedily agree carriage of "Setanta International Sports Pak" as has already been announced by other Cable & Satellite companies in Canada if others can reach an agreement so can Shaw.
We would also reject any band-aid solution whereby a random selection of BPL matches are transmitted ad-hoc (as individual PPV offerings). This is not an acceptable short term answer.
Your urgent attention to this matter will be greatly appreciated.
