Animal cruelty is not a form of entertainment and should never be displayed as such. By allowing videos depicting animal abuse to be posted, MySpace is promoting the very act and so are, unknowingly, its users. Videos such as those found on MySpace TV that portray cruelty towards helpless animals (including hunting videos) only encourage further mistreatment. Studies have proven that serial killers usually start out as animal abusers. The majority of MySpace users are impressionable minors and these images send our children and grandchildren a very disturbing message. Reporting inappropriate content is simply not enough. It's too late once the video in question is viewed and shared by thousands of MySpace users. We the undersigned ask that you please make the humane decision to pre-screen all MySpace videos. Prevention is the only solution.
