Families in Foreclosure

Hubert bought his home in 1995. In 2001, he married his wife, Stephanie, and they took custody of her three grandchildren, then 1,2, and 4 years old. The couple eventually adopted the kids. Currently the childrens mother, whom Hubert and Stephanie continue to support due to health issues, also lives in the home. The Broussards are not asking for a freebie or to be forgiven their debt. They are only asking for a deed in lieu to preserve their credit as they move to another town where Hubert has received a job offer for only $30,000 a year. Aurora Loan Services has said that a deed in lieu will only be given with Huberts signature on a $35,000 promissory note. Hubert cannot sign this note, as it is as bad a financial decision as the one he made when he refinanced. The Broussards, along with their three grandchildren, have just moved to Lafayette. Their credit card company is already telling them that a reduction to their credit limit has been made. This is the first of many challenges they will face as a result of the foreclosure. Please help to get the message to Aurora Loan Services, so the Broussards can start with a clean, albeit very empty, slate. Granting the deed in lieu will not change the equation for you, Aurora Loan Services, but it sure will do so for the Broussard family!
