For years specific funding for bands in various genres has been hard to acquire and has led to bands struggling to progress their careers due to travel, marketing and production/album costs. In Northern Ireland artists can apply under SIAP which is an individual program.
Due to individual based criteria is hard for bands to meet as it is solely used to provide an individual artist support. We have spoken with the Arts Council n the past and they have admitted its flawed.
We want to raise awareness for bands and help them get funding that allows them the opportunity to tour/perform outside of their country and represent Northern Ireland and play the music they love. Help us make a change to support bands in Northern Ireland and celebrate the successes the achieve...
