We, the undersigned, seek to petition the Football Association and the Premier League to take steps to review the tackle made by Nigel de Jong (Manchester City) on Hatem Ben Arfa within 8 minutes of the start of yesterday's Barclays Premier League match at Eastlands Stadium.

We believe that as the match referee (Martin Atkinson) took no action on the foul perpetrated by de Jong, it is now the responsibility of the FA to ask the referee to review the incident that left Hatem Ben Arfa's leg broken in two places.

For the good of the game these overly aggressive incidents must be eradicated from English football and it is now up to the FA to act accordingly.
