Some of you may have heard of the 'Form and Fusion Design Awards', for those who have not, heres what it is!!
This competition started out in a secondary school in Co. Cork between surrounding schools. The competition has, since become a nationwide event and is held at the Point Depot, Dublin. The contestants must design and construct a costume. Selotape, CDs, drink cans, magazines, newspapers and popcorn are among the thousands of materials used to construct the costume. The costume requires a lot of work, dedication, time, and effort. This project is part of schools Transition Year course. It has taught us about teamwork and through this, we have all become closer friends. Every student involved has had a fantastic time and has thoroughly enjoyed the amazing experience.
Up until recently, 'Coca-Cola' has sponsored the event and we are very grateful for this. However, they have informed us that they will no longer be sponsoring the event. We are now trying to get another sponsor. We are contacting Ray Darcy and Minister Mary Hanafin (to name a few) to encourage them to use their influence to help us find a new sponsor.
Please help us by signing this petition because we want to give future Transition Years a chance to share in the fun!!
Thank you!!!!
