Ms. Hasselbeck works with the youth of today in order to develop their self-esteem.
The following is a partial transcript of the show including all comments referring to herpes:
**********************
Joy is spoofing personal ads:
She holds up one and says this one says herpes infrequent.
Audience: Gasps
The ad reads: Strictly personal, handsome, white male, 39, with
Herpes (infrequent), who is romantic, intelligent, loyal, congenial,
seeks slim, attractive, slim, accomplished female for friendship
first and possible long term relationship.
Joy: Hello
Elisabeth: At least they're honest.
Joy: When all else fails herpes will still be there. He wants
Calista Flockhart but he has herpes, I don't think so. (She
Throws the card with the ad on it over her shoulder and moves on to next ad)
End of spoofing bit.
Meredith: What should we learn from this?
Joy: One of her remarks is don't go with someone that has
Herpes, I don't care (interrupted)
Elizabeth: No matter how infrequent.
Star: You can't just dump the person.
Joy: That is a deal breaker for me, I'm sorry.
Elizabeth: If you know right off the bat.
Star: If they're honest and they tell you, you can't just
make it a complete deal breaker Joy.
Joy: Well, yes, I can.
Star: We all have our deal breakers.
Joy: What's yours Star, bad teeth? (points to herself) herpes.
(points to Meredith) What's yours?
Meredith: I'm not sure.
Joy: What's yours Elizabeth.
Elizabeth: The deal breaker, I, I would say herpes would be the deal
breaker.
Joy: See.
Star: We are so bad.
Meredith: This is really bad now. (She goes on to change the topic)
Later in the show there is one more comment regarding herpes when an
audience member asks about making her personal ad stand out, Joy
remarks to leave the word herpes out.

We believe that Joy and Elisabeth need to get informed about HSV (Herpes) and make an informed apology to the 80\% of the world and their viewers that are affected by HSV (Herpes). We also believe that the in order to rectify their mistake and ignorance 'The View' should do a factual show on HSV.
