To Mayor Don Freitas and members of the Antioch City Council:
We, the undersigned, fully support the decisions made and the actions taken by Chief Jim Hyde and members of the Community Action Team (CAT) in response to the complaints of those residents affected by the criminal behavior of their neighbors.
We feel that Chief Hyde and the CAT have borne the brunt of unwarranted criticism by members of the ACLU, BALA, Public Advocates and the media.
We understand that they do their best to make difficult decisions with the information available to them, and that they act in the best interests of the law abiding residents of the city of Antioch.
We support Chief Jim Hyde and CAT, and we want them to continue to serve the City of Antioch.
