For several years I wanted to work in law enforcement. I allowed several obstacles get in my way. I concentrated on doing things for others rather than what I wanted to do for ME.
I am fair. I am impartial. I am tough and have broad shoulders. I believe in Restorative Justice. I believe in rehabilitation. I believe that some people just can't be helped. I believe every person, every case deserves individual treatment. If you're a "bad guy" who acts like a bad guy, watch out and don't mess with me. If you're a "bad guy" who is simply doing your time until you can prove your innocence, that is great. We'll get along just fine. I know what it's like to be "the bad guy." I believed in the law and the law worked for me.
I plan to send this petition to Captain Gary Grubbs of the Riley County Police Department in hopes he will give strong consideration to my application for Correction Officer. I've talked about law enforcement for a long time on Facebook. If Captain Grubbs knows how much I really want this position, if he knows that I'm not just some applicant, that I would be a dedicated member of the RCPD family...maybe, I can FINALLY do something I've wanted to do with the full support of my family and friends!!!
