We, the great people of Nigeria, whose joy, interest and love for the game of football, being the undersigned, believe that the current board of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has failed the nation in managing the game.

Our grouses and reasons for calling for the board members to resign include, and are not exclusive of the following grave concerns:
1. The mismanagement of the elections into the boards of the FA from the leagues. This is not a job of the FA but of the clubs to undertake. The FA hijacked it, messed it up, and its Appeals Committee over ruled. Who bears the tax payers fund wasted therein?
2. The sum of N70m was budgeted, spent and wasted on the Obama Cup fiasco. This budget is not only outrageous. It is out of this world. This should be investigated.
3. Nigerias image was seriously tampered with by the lack of football management and organisation exhibited by the board and management of the NFF. This CANNOT be paid for in Naira, Pounds or Dollars;
4. In view of the deep sense of irresponsibility of the management of the NFF by the Obama Cup fiasco, they were promoted with a six month extension of their tenure! This is promoting mediocrity and it is a slap in the face of Nigerians, the owners of the game, thus, the board for rather than sack the management promoted them, does not deserve to remain in office!
5. The quality of decisions this board has reached since it got into office November 2010 smirks of not understanding their roles. A clear case is the introduction of arbitration panels to review decisions of Appeal Committees, whose decisions by the NFF 2010 Statute is final. This is an abuse and rape of the laws of the game. Therefore, this board CANNOT and SHOULD NOT be trusted.

Their continued failure will irreparably impact our lives and joy. We can't imagine life without Football! We know it is our rights to be served well and build foundations that will guarantee something out of our football that will be beautiful for all to be proud of something bigger than all of us.

Football administration should be an embodiment of freedom of expression and democratic principles; it is supposed to be a giant leap for mankind.

We join together in this petition to seek for the correction of the flaws inherent by meeting the FIFA Standard Statute (FSS) and re-construct the organisation of the game from ward, to local government, State FAs and the NFA.

We demand the Nigerian National Assembly to as a matter of urgent National Interest debate and have a firm resolution on the side of the people for these moves which promotes our common bond as a people. We abhor the measured silence of parliament while our game is dying. Rise up and take your duties stridently.

We demand urgent administrative internal FIFA measures to correct these imbalances. We do not want a masses reaction that can bring about the current Egyptian and Libyan measures to get peace, progress and development to the game in our country. Nigeria is too important to play a back street role in African and global football.
