Justice For Dennis Robinson

On February 3rd, 2006 under the guise of 'justice' an innocent man was wrongfully convicted of the double murder of the Cooper Twins. Perhaps in an effort to send a message against the rising tide of violence in our island, Dennis Robinson was found guilty of murder by a 'jury of his peers' on what can only be described at best, as pure speculation.

Bermuda, please do not allow yourselves to be lulled into a false sense that justice has been served in this case simply because of two successful convictions. The truth is that an innocent man has now been served with two mandatory life sentences on an unsubstantiated charge, which amounts to a gross miscarriage of justice.

It is a tragedy that lives have been lost to violence, and an even further tragedy if an innocent man is forced to spend the rest of his life incarcerated when the only thing he is guilty of is being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

We, the undersigned agree that justice has not yet been served in this case and urge a review of the unsubstantiated 'evidence' against Mr. Robinson for the charge of murder.
