Keep C1 Pass

We, the undersigned, are writing in response to the
petition being circulated by Rob Stoyan to eliminate
the C1 passes. We want to encourage Air Canada to
continue to offer a limited number of C1 passes to all
employees for the following reasons:
1. The vast majority of the time employees don't need
to purchase C1s in order to board a flight even with
record load factors. We still do not operate at 100\%
capacity, which means that most of the time there are
still seats available for standby travel.
2. Given that Air Canada does not upgrade employees
traveling on C2 passes when there are still seats
in economy, we want to be able to experience
business class (perhaps for a special occasion) and
we are willing to pay more for our passes to do so a
couple of times a year.
3. Since each employee only receives four C1 passes
per year and they are more expensive, how much of an
issue can this be? However, if there have been
specific problem times (like Christmas) then perhaps
the company would consider increasing the twenty four
hour listing window for C1 travel during that peak
time only rather than eliminating them altogether.
If you agree that C1 passes are a benefit that you
would like to keep please sign the below petition and
pass this on to your friends and retirees for their
support.
