Keep Local Inmates at Green Rock Correctional Facility

We, the undersigned citizens of Virginia, in agreement with the wishes of the Pittsylvania County Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and the Pittsylvania County, Virginia Board of Supervisors, OPPOSE the transfer of local inmates from the Green Rock Correctional Facility to more distant correctional facilities.
We REQUEST that all inmates with local addresses of Pittsylvania County remain at the Green Rock facility in order to reduce the burden and expense to families of local inmates.
Further, we SUPPORT the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors' request that Green Rock Correctional Facility continue to operate as a medium security facility.
