Let the Mixed Breed Compete

I have had my beautiful maltapoo, Fifi, for 3 happy years. Every year, we tune in to the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship dog show, watching only the Toy Breeds, with the Toy Poodle winning the most. As I watch, I always think Why cant mixed breeds compete too. They are just as cute, just as smart, just as loyal. They deserve a chance. I look down at Fifi and see sadness in her eyes. While she enjoys looking at all the elegant dogs, trotting around with quite a personality, she dreams that one day she too could be there on the big blue stage, with every move depending on her bond with her owner. I am sure many mixed breed owners have thought of this, but take no further action. To me, state shows arent enough, nor Petsmart competitions. The AKC/Eukanuba National Championship is the real deal. Having only purebred dogs reflects the way America is run. Run by one race, one thought, one political party. Even down to dogs, America believes in only the purebred. But some people dont seem to realize that a much stronger bond can be formed between human and mutt. Dogs in general are as loyal as it gets, and thats a fact. They dont lie to your face, they dont talk about you, they dont complain about everything you do. They only expect one thing: for you to love them. I believe America is supposed to be the place of new ideas, where everyone and everything is welcome. US is supposed to be the place of new opportunities, and letting Mixed Breeds compete is the start of a new America. If you love your mixed breed, or even your purebred dog, where there is no prejudice, only true love and justice, please sign this petition. I am only 12 and would someday like my dear Fifi compete. The judges would certainly be blown away by how great and how alike all dogs are, loveable, fun, frisky, friendly. Purebred or not, everyone deserves a fair chance.
