Make Derek Jeter the highest paid player in baseball

Derek Jeter is clearly the best player in baseball. He won the Gold Glove at SS in the AL which by the way is the hardest defensive position in baseball and he won the Hank Aaron Award meaning he was the best hitter in all of the American League. But Jeter's contributions are beyond the amazing numbers he puts up, it is also in his leadership. During his time on the Yankees, the Yankees have not missed the playoffs. Jeter, single handedly, lead this scrappy group of players to the playoffs through his leadership and commitment. He is a roll model to everyone in and out of baseball. That is why I am petitioning the Yankees to extend Jeter and make him the highest paid baseball player in the league. 21 million is not enough to appreciate what Jeter brings to the table.
