Make Original Star Wars Versions Available in 2005

We ask, therefore, that you make use of the DVD technology known as seamless branching to include the original version of the films as well as any additional versions. Terminator 2 made excellent use of this in order to bring three different versions of the film to one DVD: The original, the extended version, and the alternate ending version. The same idea could be applied to the Star Wars films.
We realize that these are your movies and it is your right to do with them as you please. But also realize that they are wonderful childhood memories to many of us and we wish to preserve those memories. When going back to watch Buck Rogers serials or films like The Hidden Fortress, Metropolis, or The Searchers, Im sure you would be disappointed to find them modified or colorized.
Your friend Steven Spielberg put it best regarding his decision to include both the original version and the modified version of E.T. on DVD: "When people buy 'E.T.' I want them to know they have the original movie, not just for collectors and aficionados, but for everybody who remembers it and wants to continue remembering it just that way."
So, please put the original versions of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi on DVD when you release them. Release any other versions with them, but make the original available on DVD to us, your fans. Wed rather keep the plot holes than lose our childhood memories.
