Manchester Union Leader Petition and Boycott

The publisher Joe McQuaid, said that the paper isn't anti-gay but believes marriage is between a man and a woman. We ask the Manchester Union Leader to consider the following sentence "I'm not anti-German, but we won't publish any wedding announcements for German couples." If you consider the latter sentence to express anti-German sentiment, then the former must express anti-gay sentiment. In short, whatever the paper's statements about being anti-gay or not, they are anti-gay in action.
Therefore, we, the undersigned, vow to refrain from the purchase of the Manchester Union Leader until they choose to treat all New Hampshire citizens with equal respect. We will avoid purchasing that paper at news stands, from visiting their web site, from advertising with The Manchester Union Leader, and, as much as possible and practical, to refrain from doing business with advertisers in the Manchester Union Leader.
Should the Manchester Union Leader wish to reconsider its position, we will end our action.
