We, the Mums and Mums to be of the UK demand change to Ante and Post Natal care, to ensure that every Mother is given the right to be treated properly and with respect. We ask that Maternity Wards and those who work within them are properly trained, in not just medical care, but in personal care and the way they give advice to new Mums.
We feel there should be a "grading system" in every maternity ward in the country, where Mothers can anonymously rate the care that they receive and the results posted on the Hospitals website monthly. There in that those responsible for making an expectant Mums experience unpleasant are dealt with effectively.
Ultimately, no Mum should suffer from Post Natal Depression because of the actions of NHS staff.
