NATIONAL SERVICE REPEAL AND U.S. BORDER PROTECTION

We Americans were attacked on 9/11 and are currently at war to preserve our precious freedoms therefore it makes a mockery of the U.S. Constitution and America itself to have a situation where an American citizen cannot get on a bus,train or a car and take a road trip to Canada without carrying a passport instead of a person on Monday morning deciding as citizens in a free society do to travel up to Canada and leaving that same afternoon all American citizens as if they are citizens of a dictatorship must go to the website of or call the U.S. State Department on the phone pay a fee and wait a week or so to receive a passport obviously if the purpose of this law is to protect our country in a time of war

The Homeland Security Department of the United States could easily put a large number of Homeland Security officers on the border and require a valid State ID or Drivers License for anyone to leave America or return it was the lack of adequate security on the U.S./Canada border that led to the fear of Terrorists crossing the border after the passage of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004.This new requirement that no American could leave there own country without a passport was one of the manythings tucked into the bill while this bill was signed by George W.Bush it wasn't legally supposed to be implemented until 2009

While Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton could've put Homeland Security agents on the border instead and delayed this one part of the bill from being law or simply took it out of the bill U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is instead aggresively enforcing it on their website U.S. State Department officials imply that this is a reasonable law by assuring Americans that they have the freedom to get their passport WITI compliant why even have passports for land travel?I want the amount of Homeland Security officials necesarry to secure our border so America can be American again and citizens can leave there own country without a passport I CALL FOR THE REPEAL OF THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE TRAVEL INTIATIVE TAKE IT OUT OF THE INTELLIGENCE REFORM AND TERRORISM PREVENTION ACT

While I support the Federal Government giving free college tuition or loans to needy students I am opposed to the current College service programs the Corporation for National Service which George Bush Sr. supported and Bill Clinton signed into law was supposedly created with the goal "To connect Americans of all ages and backgrounds with opportunities to give back to their communities and their nation. It merged the work and staffs of two predecessor agencies, ACTION and the Commission on National and Community Service."

Why do we need government agencies to help Americans figure out how to volunteer?Couldn't they just put volunteering opportunities in each state up on the President of the U.S.'s website?Or have the Federal Department of Education require each public school to tell parents about places there kid could choose to volunteer at?

The answer is that the end game was to either create a society where all Americans 18-25 even in times of peace,civilians who haven't been drafted by the military or convicted of a crime would be legally forced to do two years of labor for the state or if they couldn't go that far by making a certain amount of people do labor just to get college money they could create a more rigid,authoritarian culture.

Since 18 yeaolds are legally considered adults it loosens the laws of forced adult labor so of course Mandatory Service for 18-25 yearolds could lead to the government also forcing 20 or 30 something's who are not in the military or in jail to do labor.But why?By the 1980's a certain amount of people on both the Right and incredibly the Left felt that the place was to free on the right you had William F.Buckley Jr. he'd supported the Vietnam War opposed Civil Rights for Blacks in the 1960's and hated the things about post 1960's America that even normal Conservative Republicans liked.

Buckely disliked a culture where because we weren't in a permanent state of war the average American was more interested in celebrities,MTV,Hip-Hop or Baseball then the names of countries we had military bases on.Buckley also hated multicultural America's diverse mix of ethnic groups and expressive teenagers who's Youth culture was unique.

Fine but did you really want to do forced labor in the pre 9/11 era,when we were safe,over that?Even Ronald Reagan came to accept post 1960's America he had Football games to watch he liked some sitcoms and figured he could get away with doing the big things he wanted to do to the Soviet Union under a volunteer Army.So he opposed Mandatory Service and compared it to what Soviet Communists do.

And of course John McCain was the other Rightwing Republican who wanted Mandatory Service but why would Liberals,the Rock n Roll people,anti-Capitalist rebels,want something that would eliminate the youth culture and violate the same rights they marched for in the 1960's.I'm not sure why Liberals found a way to read Rolling Stone magazine,talk about the Youth culture,and want forced labor but they did.Gary Hart wasn't opposed to it and Hillary Clinton wanted it as far back as 1996.

The official explanation from the Left is it would end old divisions and bring Americans of different cultural backgrounds together.But Bill Clinton's diversity work which I supported created campus's where Whites,African-Americans,Latino's,and Asians were living together for the first time.Why not just desegregate communities?Considering how diverse the country became in the 1990's why do something that would force minorities to give up their culture?Since mandatory service requires everyone to act like others in the group,when the campus's were so diverse that simply keeping the economy going would further integrate the country?

Despite my admiration for both Robert and John Kennedy two of my political hero's I strongly disagreed with Ted Kennedy's support of the Serve America Act I WANT TO INCREASE FUNDING TO THE US DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND THEN ABOLISH THE CORPORATION FOR NATIONAL SERVICE EVERY POOR OR WORKING CLASS PERSON CAN GET A LOAN FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND STILL ATTEND COLLEGE WE WILL HAVE JUST AS MANY MINORITIES,WOMEN,AND WORKING CLASS PEOPLE IN COLLEGE THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT NO AMERICAN CITIZEN WHO HASN'T BEEN DRAFTED BY THE MILITARY OR CONVICTED OF A CRIME WILL BE REQUIRED TO DO LABOR BECAUSE WHILE THE SERVE AMERICA ACT DOESN'T CALL FOR MANDATORY SERVICE WHICH MAKES OBAMA A LITTLE BETTER THEN MCCAIN REQURING ALL COLLEGE STUDENTS TO DO SERVICE POSSIBLY EVEN SPYING ON AMERICANS FOR HOMELAND SECURITY

CREATES A CULTURE WHERE 80\% OF THE COUNTRY IS WORKING FOR THE GOVERNMENT WHICH MAKES IT SO NATURAL AND NORMAL THAT IT WOULD BE EASY TO PASS A BILL REQUIRING SERVICE FOR THE REST OF THE CITIZENS SO THE REMOVAL OF THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE TRAVEL INTIATIVE FROM THE TERRORISM PREVENTION BILL WHILE INCREASING SECURITY ON THE BORDER AND THE ELIMINATION OF THE CORPORATION FOR NATIONAL SERVICE WHILE INCREASING FUNDING TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND MAINTAINING A SELECTIVE SERVICE IN CASE OF A NEED TO DRAFT CITIZENS TO FIGHT JUST WARS

WILL GURANTEE THAT AMERICANS WILL BE ABLE TO TRAVEL FREELY,ATTEND COLLEGE,AND NO ONE WILL BE FORCED TO DO LABOR FOR THE STATE OR CARRY A PASSPORT
