No to F1 on Sky

We the undersigned oppose the deal that will give F1 broadcasting rights to Bskyb and take live coverage of half of the races away from the BBC.
The BBC do a superb job covering F1 and the full live broadcasts of all races should stay on the BBC.
This new TV deal with Sky breaks the Concorde Agreement and we respectfully ask the F1 teams to block the deal insisting that live F1 races must be broadcast on terrestrial television. Therefore a new deal should be made that is affordable to terrestrial television stations.
The deal with Sky will damage F1 as it will reduce the viewing figures and therefore the interest in the sport and its adverstising revenues will be diminished.
There are many British F1 fans who have been supporting the teams for decades who cannot afford to or will not subscribe to Sky. These people who have backed F1 and helped it to get into the position it is in today are being ignored by this deal.
If the deal with Sky does go ahead then we promise to end our support for your teams and drivers, stop watching F1 including anything broadcast on terrestrial television plus boycott any products and services provided by your sponsors or manufacturing partners.
Sincerely,
