Petition for Indiana University to recognize Federal Holidays

To the Trustees of Indiana University:
It fills us all with a great level of annoyance that we are one of the few (if not the only) major university in the country that holds class during Labor Day and Washington's Birthday.
Though you are not legally required to recognize those days as holidays, this petition shows all of the members of this community who feel as though we should. I urge you to take this into consideration and revise the official university calendar to recognize these days as days when classes will not be held.
