Everyday thousands of people are turned away at veterinary clinics because of the inability to pay for the care that their pet needs. Even in an emergency. Yet, in some states there are clinics where the veterinarian will go ahead and treat the pet regardless of the owners financial situation. The only thing that the veterinarian asks in return is that the owners volunteer at the clinic. In that way everyone prospers. The clinic gets volunteers, the pet gets the help it needs and the owner gets peace of mind knowing that their beloved pet is going to get the best of care. It is high time that every state has at least one clinic like this. Emergency rooms in human hospitals cannot turn people away if they need help. Why should veterinarian clinics be any different? Pets are just as important as human beings. After all, we are all related. We are all in the kingdom of Animalia. It is high time that pets get the respect they deserve.
