Proper Funding for Glasgow City Schools

This petition asks Glasgow City Council to restore proper funding to Glasgow City schools.

Pupils in Secondary Schools have seen the effects of cuts to their lessons and we the undersigned, want to see a STOP to this.

We the undersigned, understand that in financial times, there must be cuts but across the City of Glasgow we have seen example after example, where pupils are denied entry to qualification courses in our schools, not on their ability or exam results but on the number of places that the schools can fund. This and events like it should STOP.

We the undersigned would like the Council to transfer more funding to Education and to ensure by whatever means that pupils are given the best opportunities and measured on merit, ability and achievement and NOT on how much they'd cost.

If the Council will not provide proper education funding, then we the undersigned will take further action against the council until school pupils across Glasgow are given proper education funding because pupils in Schools are the future of Glasgow and opportunities should not be denied because of funding, when we're one of the richest nations in the world.
