Re-open The Jack Abrams School

We, the undersigned urge you, the Board of Education for the Huntington School District to reopen the Jack Abrams School for September 2011 as an elementary school consistent with the Long Term Planning Committee recommendations that include this facility. Moreover, we insist that you do not repurpose the school as a neighborhood school, an alternative high school, a community center or any use other than an elementary school. We ask that you reopen the Jack Abrams School as either a 6th grade Center, or 4th-5th grade center school per the LRFPCs recommendations, thus reducing crowding in the primary schools and demonstrating fiscally-responsible decision-making for the 2011-2012 school year.
