This was Carpenter's first made-for-TV film and was completed shortly before his landmark horror film "Halloween" made him a household name amongst genre fans.
"Someone's Watching Me!" (also known as "High Rise" in Europe) has rarely been re-broadcast on TV and it has *never* been released on home video. This chilling suspense film about a woman who is being stalked by an unknown and unseen psychopath has been virtually ignored by Warner Brothers in the decades since it's TV premiere. We feel that this film deserves to be released on DVD, digitally remastered and presented in it's original aspect ratio (1.37:1) so that long suffering fans can finally own it, not to mention introducing it to a whole generation of movie lovers who have never had the opportunity to see it.
We also ask that every attempt be made to secure John Carpenter to record an audio commentary track for a DVD release.
"Someone's Watching Me!" is a slick thriller that shouldn't be collecting dust in Warner's movie library. It's strong cast and superb direction raise it several notches above the standard made-for-TV movie, and should not be forgotten as some relic of the 1970's.
Warner Brothers, please release "Someone's Watching Me!" on DVD. Thank you.
