Restore the Arctic Police in Superman II

In "Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut" the powers at be decided to cut several scenes that fans wanted to see in Richard Donner's version of Superman II. Most importantly, the scene where Lex Luthor and the villains are taken away by the arctic patrol after the Fortress Confrontation. The problem is that it appears Superman leaves Lex stranded in the Fortress, only to fly away and destroy the Fortress with Lex Luthor still inside. This is not how it was scripted. Superman is also not a deliberate murderer.









Also, scenes such as "Heading South," "Entering the Fortress" and "Clark and Jimmy" were wrongfully cut. These scenes should be included in a new, revised *official* edition of Superman II. Worse yet, these so-called deleted scenes are included in the released "Donner Cut" in poor quality, not remastered like the rest of the material.









This petition asks for a new cut of the film with most or all of these scenes back in the film, in high quality, along with a "corrected" opening sequence. The released version mistakenly labels the rocket thrown into space "XK-10" instead of the correct label, "XK-101."
