Save Hubble For Kids Sake

By signing this petition, I am requesting that the United States Congress ("USC") and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration ("NASA") reevaluate the continued full funding to the Hubble Space Telescope ("HST") program. We ask that the HST program remain fully funded to provide for both operational and any maintenance activities that are required to allow the telescope to fully perform until a suitable replacement is operational. We request of NASA that the servicing of HST remain a priority of the administration and that recently canceled missions be reinstated. We agree that new safety concerns should be recognized and that appropriate mitigation processes be implemented to assure safe maintenance missions in the future.

We the undersigned believe that the Hubble Space Telescope provides more Astrophysical science than can currently be achieved without it. We also believe the educational benefits from the imagery provide both tangible and intangible benefits that have spanned multiple scientific disciplines. We feel that Hubble historically has helped all citizens of our world comprehend the vastness and beauty of our Universe.
