Newpark centre is getting shut down due to government budget cuts because apparently it's all about the money and not the kids needs !!!! This centre is one of its kind throughout LANARKSHIRE helping kids from 11 to 16 year olds experiencing difficulties within their home , school and community. This small well bonded centerfield has been up and running for over 15 years !!!! Helping lots of children in our community but not just the children but there families as well . With the pending closure of newpark they are dispensing all the kids make and female throughout LANARKSHIRE to schools that are bigger than some of the kids can handle. To schools and units that are NOT trained to have girls in there mix which means not only is it a huge disruption in the kids of newpark but the kids of the other schools and units as well , IN TURN disrupting AND IMPACTING THERE education needs , there mental health and their family life. My son has been apart of newpark since he was 11 and without them I don't know where he or I would be and Thais is all thanks to newpark centre . Yes my son is due to leave in December and some of you will ask why I'm doing this .....the answer is simple to help the future kids with these additional needs get the same help and support as he has .
