Across the country, thousands of pubs are closing as result of the current economic climate. Publicans are finding it difficult to meet rising costs and breweries are doing little to support those who are running these establishments. At the Huntsman in Guisborough, we have a fantastic Landlady, Louise, since her arrival she has made every effort to make this pub a success and yet she is struggling against high rents and charges which are unrealistic in the current climate. She, and her great team of staff, have hosted numerous evenings and instigated promotional events which have seen the footfall increase dramatically within the last year. We have created this petition to keep our landlady in the pub and show support to those who are struggling to enable breweries to recognise the progress they are making. Help us to get our point across to the breweries and help them to understand the customers views and the need to reduce costs and keep our valued publicans in places, thank you in advance for adding your name to this list.
