SAVE RIBBY THE RAZORBACK

We, the fans of Arkansas Razorback Baseball, do hereby oppose the University of Arkansas Athletic Marketing Department's decision to phase out the "Swinging Hog" or also identified as the "Ribby" mascot logo.

Ribby has been retired. The UA marketing department phased it out at the beginning of last year and phased in the logo with the A on the black diamond. The decision was made to move forward with the new logos that were done and the new baseball logo that was created.

The new logo is not an issue. However, it is unclear how using a sport-specific logo causes any "issues" of substance. The Swinging Hog is cool, was drawn by 1982 and 1983 letterman Larry Barton, and is bricked into Baum Stadium itself! Keeping the Swinging Hog causes no clear harm, and embracing it together with the new logo will create an identity unique from other "A-school" logos.

We oppose this decision by the Athletic Marketing Department and would like to have the "Ribby" logo to be reinstated in marketing with the Arkansas Razorback Baseball.

31. Bobby Hognoxiouss | I understand the need to make things new. I understand that part of this direction is to define this as a 'new era' in Razorback baseball. Ribby, however, belongs at Razorback baseball. Some of us care about the past. Certain things about "the old days" w

30. Josh S | Please explain to me how the new logo identifies the Razorbacks? It is a black diamond with a red "A". It could be Alabama, Arkansas St., Amarillo Jr. High, or whatever. This "brand mark" in no way identifies or represents Razorback baseball. Claims have
