We the alumnae, friends, parents, staff, students, supporters and teachers of St. Michael Academy (SMA) of 425 West 33rd Street, New York, NY 10001, appeal to you to reconsider the decision to close St. Michael Academy at the end of the 2010 school year. We the alumnae, friends, parents, staff, students, supporters and teachers of SMA have ideas and solutions that we would like to implement in order to see SMA remain open. We implore you to reconsider the decision to close St. Michael Academy. Allow us to continue to educate young women from underserved communities in a loving and caring community, assisting each to develop her gifts and talents to live a fully Christian life.
