Save the fishes in Singapore

Swimming in your own waste material?
Being housed in a crowded environment with many other people sick and dying?
Being fed with expired food?
Not being fed at all?
What about being housed in small plastic containers and stacked one on top of the other?
That's the plight of the tropical fish industry in Singapore.
Many unscrupulous fish vendors are exploiting these poor lives to make a quick buck and they get away with such cruelty. Our hearts often feel the pain when we read in the news about how a dog is ill treated, but such cases of fish cruelty often escapes the attention of the SPCA and media.
Also, they send down wrong messages, especially to new hobbyists that fishes can be kept in such a way, like overcrowding or without proper filtration, without any dire consequences.
Therefore, by signing this online petition, we hope that more emphasis will be taken by the government and other regulatory bodies, like AVA and SPCA, to prevent such fish store owners from abusing their livestock and that, consumers, will learn through proper education, with true love for their fishes to boycott such unscrupulous shops!
