Save The Old Maroon 5 Message Board or Repair the New Board!

We, the users of the Maroon 5 message board, http://p067.ezboard.com/bmaroon5, ask that our message board, established on February 8, 2002, be restored to its status as the official message board and removed from further threat of termination, or that the new board, http://community.maroon5.com/boards/default.aspx?, be repaired to meet our needs expressed here.
We find that the new message board, http://community.maroon5.com/boards/default.aspx?, is hindering our ability as a fan base to communicate efficiently.
Our grievances against the new message board, http://community.maroon5.com/boards/default.aspx?, are as follows.
1. It is difficult to read portions of posts due to the white font used, combined with the background using a white "M". The semi-transparent background could be turned off to correct this.
2. We must have "approval" just to have a picture by our name. Why is this going on? Do you expect someone to use a picture of a nude body part or an M logo with a slash through it? There is no reason this should be going on. It only makes for more busy work for a moderator.
3. Speaking of moderators, we can't find any on the new board, http://community.maroon5.com/boards/default.aspx?. Are they too expensive? Or are they just out of touch with the fans? Either is bad news. If someone is spamming the board with junk bashing the band, there is no way we can get a moderator to correct the problem because we do not know who and where they are. They should be clearly marked and known to all.
4. It requires an HTML genius to post a single picture on the new board, http://community.maroon5.com/boards/default.aspx?. We have learned the BBCode language from the old board, http://p067.ezboard.com/bmaroon5, years ago, and even if one has not, there are easy to use buttons on a posting form to use to make links, post pictures, emails, and anything else we may want or need, including special fonts. This severely damages our ability to communicate using any means beyond plain text and must be corrected with a similar functionality on the new board, http://community.maroon5.com/boards/default.aspx?.
5. Emoticons are absent from the forums completely. Saying LOL all the time just isn't the same as a little giggling smiley. We need our emoticons or our ability to communicate efficiently is hindered.
6. Lack of signatures beyond the use of plain text also hinders our ability to identify each other online. Without this, we simply look like little faceless stick figures to each other, even in spite of pictures by our names. We need our blends (stylized pictures) in our signatures, along with whatever quotes we want to put in special fonts.
7. Issues hanging around the old board, such as monkey-with-the-too-long-sig, her buddies, and people who don't read a simple FAQ and post asking newbie questions already resolved (such as Who's Jane? or Is Adam dating ____?) are importing themselves to the new board with ease. Furthermore, these types are being attracted to the new board and are allowed to post these things far too easily without being told any rules. This is something that should not come to the new board, or we will all have bad headaches. If there's any way the FAQ can be shoved into a new member's face right away so they don't ask these questions, please do so. Even if it means preventing someone from posting until they have read the FAQ and rules, if this can be accomplished in any way, it would do better than this.
8. The video section of the board should be corrected to allow Firefox users to view the video, too. We should not have to use a dangerous spyware-loving browser such as Internet Explorer to do our board bidding in full.
9. We need to be able to privately message each other. This is used for personal and Maroon 5 business communications, and should be put in place.
10. The Tour Diary section needs to be restored. Any member of the band could want to use it at any time. They could use GITA, but what if they just want to make some random blab? They shouldn't have to resort to SIN-only or Myspace for that.
11. Registration problems, such as taken user names, slow email confirmations, and just plain ignoring said confirmations on AOL all need to be corrected.
12. The editing system needs to be in permanent place. A 30 minute cutoff for editing posts is causing nothing but headaches and double posts for no good reason.
13. Having to type in a random title for every post made should be stopped. Post titling should be automated, or at least, ignored when nothing is put in.
14. An on-board chatroom also needs to be in place for a good hangout.
15. More replies and threads should be allowed per page. 10 is far too small and results in too much scrolling and clicking. 20, which is on our old board, http://p067.ezboard.com/bmaroon5, would be better, but an even higher number (40, 50?) would make things easier, as long as it doesn't get out of hand (100 posts a page is not necessary!).
16. A button allowing quick access to the last page of a thread is also needed. It's too strenuous to scroll through so many pages.
17. Access to more than 3 pages at a time should also be solved.
18. Optional email notifications for threads are also needed to keep tabs on things at our choosing.
19. The option to mark a thread as read is also needed.
20. The ability to choose what you want to show and don't want to show in your profile also needs to be in place. Not all of us want a picture by our name, much less a funny silhouette with "No photo" written under it.
21. Help and tips on how to use the board also need to be in place. Not everyone can just jump in and know what they're doing.
22. We also need a search device to find friend's posts or to find specific threads that may have been buried, so as to prevent the doubling of old threads and people to think their friends have vanished.
23. Threads need the ability to be stickied by at least moderators, such as love threads and important info such as a FAQ thread. Lack of this causes a jumble of information that also causes board headaches.
We ask that, as a result of the above problems, our current board, http://p067.ezboard.com/bmaroon5, NOT be removed or even set to be removed until these problems are corrected and it is insured that everyone can handle the new board correctly. If any of the above cannot be corrected or worked around, we ask that unless we, the members of the Maroon 5 Message Board, say otherwise, our current board, http://p067.ezboard.com/bmaroon5, be restored its status as the official message board, removed from threat of termination, and the new board, http://community.maroon5.com/boards/default.aspx?, be set aside or shut down until the problem(s) on said board can be fixed. If these problems cannot be corrected, but the current board, http://p067.ezboard.com/bmaroon5, cannot be funded, we ask that it not be removed, but simply revoked of its preferred EZBoard status as a Gold Community and ownership given over to the message board's users to control and fund accordingly, to make it a Gold Community ourselves as we choose, and it be linked on Maroon 5's site alongside the new board, http://community.maroon5.com/boards/default.aspx?, until other measures can be taken.
