Save The Wild Horses From Slaughter

Dear Reader,

As a Fellow animal Lover Park I am asking for a few minutes of your time to help save wild horses from horse slaughter. On March 28th 2007, the Federal District Court in Washington, DC found that the horse slaughter plants cannot pay for their own inspections. The judge found that the US Department of Agriculture did not follow federal guidelines when they allowed the waiver to allow the horse slaughter plants to pay for their own inspections following a 2006 Amendment to the Agricultural Appropriations Act banning use of taxpayer funds being used for those inspections, but now we have the new challenge of stopping the import of these magnificent creatures to Mexican and Canadian Slaughter Houses. Although the act H.R 503/S 311 A.K.A 'American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act' is trying to be passed in all states it would be hard to enforce it as some people have pointed out, because anyone could easily say that they are transporting or selling the horses, as 'pleasure' or 'working'. That is why those poor animals that are neglected and inhumanely killed need our help and support. All we need is for the Senate to pass the S. 311 and HR 503 bills in all states.
