In the Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Devasthanam after the Kaisika Purana Patanam by the Muraikkara Bhattar swamy ,the Bhattar is accorded the Brahmaratha Mariyadhai in accordance with the established age old customs and traditions dating back to the very first Bhattar .All these years this event went on smoothly.This year the incumbent J.C. who is known to be an atheist is trying to create a scene to deny this great honour by citing Human Rights violation ( that is to say the brahmaratha involves the carrying of one human( in this case either the Arayar or Bhattar ) by another human ( Koyil Sree Padham Thangis - temple employees ).Similarly 2 more brahmarathams will also see their end on similar grounds.This is akin to opening the Pandora's Box w.r.t.Stopping age old customs and traditions as per Ramanuja's Thittam .Thru this petition we urge all Sri Vaishnavas worldwide to oppose this wanton move by the Executive Officer / J.C of Sri Ranganatha Temple to stop this time old honour accorded to the respected Kainkaryaparas as per the explicit order of Lord Ranganatha Himself.This may well be the beginning of the End.It is the duty of every Sri Vaishnava worldwide to oppose this dastardly act of the Srirangam J.C. to insult the entire Brahmin Iyengar community .
