Say No to the Kennedy Amendment

Ted Kennedy and his liberal extremist ACLU cronies are at it again! They look at the latest polls showing the presidents popularity slipping, and they smell blood. They want to take this chance to amend the Constitution to weaken the war on terror and to legalize everything from gay marriage to third-trimester abortions. This is the left-wing garbage they want to sneak into the U.S. Constitution:





The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people. The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.





These would be the most devastating 47 words ever introduced to the US Constitution. They are actually trying to expand the scope of the Constitution to guarantee rights not even mentioned in the Constitution! These rights would include homosexual marriage, abortion, flag-burning, and pornography in every community. And then, as if that wouldnt be bad enough, Kennedy and his ACLU-istas add in the pro-terrorist language that would make many of the Presidents efforts to fight terrorism illegal. If the government were forced to show cause and to describe what they are searching for, it would do irreparable damage to our national security. How is it even possible to say what you are searching for if you havent found it yet?





We, the undersigned, urge Congress to reject this amendment to the Constitution. We further urge Congress to stand up for the traditional American family values that this country was founded upon. We urge Congress to fight all such attempts to pervert the will of our Founding Fathers, who would be appalled to see this kind of bleeding heart language introduced into the Constitution they fought and died to provide us with.
