As parents, we are outraged that a bus cannot be provided for Patriot Landing students that live 1.1-1.3 miles away from Scott Elementary School.
This should be close enough to the 1.5 mile rule for a bus to be provided. Walking over a mile for elementary children ages 5-12 is too far by theirselves, especially in severe weather (e.i lightning, snow,etc)and without supervision. There is known sex offender living in Lomardo's Motel just outside the gate, which happens to be behind the houses on George Washington Street in Patriots.
We are not asking for door to door service for these kids, if only the end of the main Patriots Landing street could be provided, this would make a world of difference for us parents and daycare providers.
In order to succeed, this petition must be individually signed by all supporters. Signing the petition is an absolute requirement to success! Every vote counts!
