Silver Foil (Varkh) should be banned on sweets

Use of Silver foil which is normally called as "varkh" should be avoided
on sweets which are usually claimed as vegetarians. This is because, the
process through which "varkh" is manufactured is really a non-vegetarian,
and leaves traces of blood, flesh etc on the foid (microscopic view can
reveal this). This is unknown to many people. There are various reasons
why "varkh" should not be allowed to be applied on sweets -
1. First of all, sentiments of vegetarians. Any veg. person, for whatever
reason he/she being a veg, feels hurt if non-veg food is offered or he/she
consumes even small traces of non-veg. There are many people who do not
go to non-veg restaurant just because they even do not prefer the touch
of non-veg vessels to veg vessels, then, this silver foil is prepared
using animal intestines.
2. Many a times the sweets are offered to God. Who would like to offer
non-veg food to God in religious occassoins? Again, this is just because
of lack of knowledge.
3. Health issues - If infected animal's intestine is used for preparing
silver foil, there are good chances that it may spread various diseases.
Considering this, I would request all of you to sign this petition.

This should definitely be banned, i used to be a big fan of this and even offered to god. Really this doesnt make the sweet less sweeter if it will be removed. Pls pls pls do a noble thing.

I don't think it shoud be banned. I don't think eating it is any worse than drinking alcohol. I think drinking alcohol is lot worse.
