Sony AU/NZ Network Service

Since the start of Network Gaming for the Playstation 2, the service that we, the consumers have received has declined to a state of "what service?"

As consumers who have payed money for games and extra money to play online, we would like to see the servers and online experience restored to a respectable state. This includes but is not limited to, regular maintenance of servers, regular and more helpful feedback of online gaming queries, servers that meet the level of quality that our American and European counter-parts receive and finally a stronger campaign that cracks down on people who use codes or vulnerabilities in the game to gain an unfair advantage over other players. We would also like updates as to when we may receive patches or updates about games.

Other bonuses include such things as competitions and stat pages. The competitions relates back to the decline in the service provided. Back in the early days of Network Gaming there were official competitions with prizes going to the winners. The network gaming tournaments page (http://au.playstation.com/ng/tournaments.jhtml) has remained unchanged for at least the past 2 years. We understand it is not always easy to set up a competition with prizes but putting in the effort will always improve the community.
