SONY should perma-ban egm/1up/edge from reviewing Playstation products

To Whom it may concern

It has come to most gamers' knowledge that some controversial websites have indulged into relentless SONY hate by reviewing PS3's games badly , which in turn caused the company in both Hardware and Software sales of Playstation 3.

For instance ,Killzone 2 BETA floored the reviewers and most users who played it

IGN AU and numerous other websites were in all praise of this game which is the best looking and perhaps the best playing game ever made, according to most BETA testers.

However SONY must be aware of haters which could initially give the game an 8 or so and influence other websites to give it a mediocre score too

We are talking about 1up . An infamous website that gave Resistance 2 a B+ and mega flopped games like Wii-Music and Banjo Kajooie on X360 an A-.

Same goes to EDGE . The highly controversial magazine gave Resistance 2 a 6 and mega flopped games like Ninja Gaiden2 8, Banjo 7 and Halo 3 10/10.

Eurogamer is also infamous for its SONY hate. A game like Fable 2 got 10/10 from them . Whereas LBP got 9/10 and most of the playstation 3 exclusive games received lowest scored from this website.

EGM --another infamous SONY hater. This mag inclines more towards x360. Even mediocre x360 games like Viva pinata, PGR4 got 10/10 or A from this magazine. On the other hand MGS4 got a B+ . This magazine has intentionally awarded low scores to many ps3 games .

Gamedaily --this is the website that gave MGS4 and Resistance 2 an 8/10 respectively and Ninja Gaiden 2 a 9/10 . Even worse, the editor of the magazine wrote an article bashing the reviewers which gave MGS4 a 10/10. MGS4 got 10/10 from over 100 gaming websites worldwide. It also got 10/10 from the biggest gaming website in the world --IGN.

Gamespot -- The controversial website gave Ratchet 7.5 ,which prevented the game from reaching AAA status at Metacritic by 1 point. This website gave Wipeout HD a 7.5 and Uncharted 8/10 .

As a result of their dubious reviews , many confused playstation 3 owners refrained from buying ps3 games. The negative reviews took a toll on Metacritic scores of PS3's games. The vindicated reviews prevented games like Ratchet and Uncharted from reaching AAA status at Metacritic by 1 point or 2.


So We would request SONY to ban these moneyhatting websites /sources from reviewing playstation products. As a result of the ban, most of these websites would go out of business. This would serve as an example for other notorious websites which at times had intentionally given ps3 games bad reviews .

Authorities at SONY must realize that a technical and a graphical masterpiece like Killzone 2 might get some odd 8s from some of those above websites. This could cause the game its expected sales and like many other ps3 games , it might fail to reach AAA status at metacritic based on some deliberate negative reviews. A perma-ban on reviews on atleast some of those nasty websites would not only kill their traffic but it would also serve as a warning to other SONY hating websites .
