Stop EA buying Crytek

They buy up small studios with unique intellectual property, then force those studios to produce poor, rushed sequels.
They stifle creativity, favouring sequels and movie tie-ins to original franchises.
They set short deadlines, and force employees to work long hours, in poor conditions.
They sign exclusive sports licenses for up to 15 years at a time with world sports organisations, locking out other developers, and preventing competition. This lack of competition means they are not under pressure to provide seasonal updates to players, colours, teams, etc.
They shut down fan created content and user modifications for their titles, stifling creativity and moving the games industry towards an anti-fan stance.
They run PC and PS2 online play through their own servers, so that they can discontinue support for a title with each subsequent version, forcing players to buy the new version to continue playing the game online.
EA is now attempting to buy out Crytek.
If they are successful, it will mean the end for Crytek. The team will be forced to work under impossible deadlines, and creativity will be stifled in favour of rushed, buggy sequels. Fan created content and modifications for Crysis will be shut down, and discouraged. Crytek as we know them will cease to exist, devoured by the malignant mass that is EA.
We urge Crytek to go resist the temptation to be bought out by EA, and instead go public. Too many good studios have fallen to EA, and crytek is too promising to be the next.
