Stoping the continued death and neglect of New Zealand Children through Abuse.

Child Abuse and the Death of children due to Abuse in New Zealand is a fact of life for 1000's of children.

We as a combined group wish to take a stand against Child Abuse and act as advocates for those children who are not being heard due to what ever reason.

For over 2 decades we have seen the "Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Act 1989" have no effect on the rising statistics of Abuse and Death through Abuse of our Children.

We have seen the ammended Section 59 of the Crimes Act 1961 have no effect.

We ask that the Government address this issue through preventative measures and through harsher punative measures for those convicted of Child Abuse.

We would ask review of the children and Their Families service's internal procedures and for any changes to be made that would better the life of Children in New Zealand.

We believe that any Political party willing to take this petition seriously and come up with a strategy will be seen as an allie in the up and coming election in 2011.
