Street Art Wall

I am writing out this petition in the hope that Medway Council will be kind enough to construct designated walls for street artists in the Medway Towns.
The problem I see is that public people dont appreciate graffiti as art, and see it as mindless vandalism, yet speaking to street artists and various creative people; it is more a way of expressing themselves visually.
Admittedly there is a type of graffiti known as tags or tagging in which the artist isnt necessarily looking for a visually pleasing piece of art, the goal in tagging is to get your tag in as many places as possible.
But the majority of street artists only want to create a piece of art that hold a message or meaning to either the artist him/herself or directed at or to someone/thing, and most of the time it is aimed at making things better for the people and the planet.

The effect of building a designated wall, I believe, will considerably improve the unwanted vandalism in the towns in the fact that instead of artists having to illegally spread his art on private walls and thus creating a conflict between artist and the non-artist, it will create a place for people to freely express their work and appreciate others by ways of public art competitions and things.

This project will only be able to go ahead if many different people sign this petition and show their views and opinions so that it can reach who it needs to reach inside the Medway Council.
