Please bring back Ted Kord.
Not for a better dispatch. Not for his replacement's storyline. Not as the Spectre or a helpful apparition. But as the Blue Beetle.
This petition is not intended to slam or remove Jaime Reyes, and its signers support his continued presence as they do Ted's return. Having these two Beetles together isn't the same as having two or three speedsters, Lanterns, Kryptonians, Amazons, or Gothamites. Jaime has the inhuman powers of the scarab - wielded by the 2nd version of 1st B.B. - while Ted's brains and brawn are another half of that legacy. Many of Ted's fans from Charlton to JL to BoP wanted him to have the shot that's been given to the dark horse Jaime, whose future fans shouldn't have to endure the fallout brought on by Ted's meanspirited discard similar to the infamous Green Lantern feuds. And for Jaime to prosper, it would be better to have Ted's fans in his corner or at least without grievance. For the Blue Beetle book to prosper, wouldn't it be better to have both their established and forthcoming fans behind it?
Hopefully this petition will show that Ted Kord as Blue Beetle is still a very viable superhero with fans.

I never read or knew much about BB but if an starring Ted Kord had come after Coutdown I could see myself trying it out. I would've tried out the current BB but from previews I had read the character was a real turn off for me.

Ted Kord was never given a chance, and rarely ever had solid writing. It was established at the time Superman died that he can sustain massive head injuries and recover. Perhaps the scarab only offered him what it felt he lacked? (A little help healing) H
