Dear Mr. McGuinty,
Congratulations on your recent victory here in Ontario! Im sure it was deserved.
That being said, we all have a lot of work to do if we want to clean this provinces finances up. Lets all roll up our sleeves and get started.
We, the undersigned, being of sound mind and judgement, and currently being registered Ontario Tax Payers, do request that the government of Canada release The GMTA from the dominion of the Province of Ontario, in order to continue serving the Dominion of Canada, as a newly created Provincial area known as Toronto.
The GMTA is defined as, "The Greater Metropolitan Toronto Area". The GMTA will be comprised of every current city municipality that shares a current and direct boarder with the metropolitan city of Toronto.
We realise that this will cause many administrational issues. Similar to when the city of Toronto amalgamated and became the megacity.
That being said, rural and urban Ontario obviously cannot continue on as one under the current planned fiscal policy.
The newly created province will allow for more efficient fiscal allocation.
