The Guess Who paved the way for other rock acts to follow from Canada, opening doors and showing that bands from Canada could be a success all over the world. In 1970, they were one of the biggest bands in the world, outselling even The Beatles.
Their string of massive world-wide hits includes "These Eyes", "Laughing", "No Time", "Undun", "Share the Land", "Hand Me Down World", "Clap for the Wolfman", "Albert Flasher", "No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature", "Glamour Boy", "Star Baby", and of course, "American Woman", to name but a few.
Most recently, they have just completed a triumphant reunion tour of Canada, playing to large, enthusiastic audiences and drawing rave reviews wherever they played. Their fans are spread around the world to this day, and new generations of fans are discovering their music all the time.
We would respectfully ask that the selection committee of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame consider "The Guess Who" for inclusion in an upcoming vote, so that this obvious oversight can be corrected as soon as possible, and The Guess Who can take their rightful place in the Hall of Fame.
